From protecting lakes or groundwater supplies or creating more sustainable agricultural production, leaving the environment better for future generations has become both a daily goal and a requirement for individuals and businesses alike. Partnering with businesses, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations to improve our landscapes inspires the work we do every day. Serving a variety of industries, CFE can help address environmental concerns for utilities; agricultural producers; private industry; and local, state, and federal government.
Our staff has extensive training and experience with USACE personnel and other review agencies including ADEM, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the EPA which enables us to provide comprehensive environmental assessments and assist in developing project designs that efficiently and effectively meet both project and regulatory requirements. We are adept at tackling difficult and unique environmental problems on a variety of levels.
We offer expertise in the development of an Environmental Review Record (ERR) for town, municipalities, and agencies receiving a Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) grant or Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) grant. An ERR is a concise public record containing original documentation related to the environmental review, decision-making, and activities undertaken in a project. The ERR must be available to the public upon request at the Responsible Entity’s location. It is a legal document and the best and often only defense to prove compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
